We endeavour to answer emails within 24 hours during the week, but please be aware that we are, on occasion, at various shows both here and abroad, and this may lead to a delay in replying to emails.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
COMICS
All comics listed are individually graded.
The standard comic grades that we use for comic books on this site is as follows:
NM (Near Mint) 9.0 - 9.4 out of 10 - An almost perfect copy with white pages. The slightest of imperfections may be seen, such as one or two microscopic marks on the spine.
VFN (Very Fine) 8.0 out of 10 - A sharp, glossy and clean copy. Tight and flat with the slightest of wear. No significant marks.
FN (Fine) 6.0 out of 10 - An above average copy. Slightly more wear. Cream to off-white pages.
VG (Very Good) 4.0 out of 10 - A misnomer. A copy with possibly several minor tears, and light creases. Perhaps a small amount of pen on the cover. Off-white to tan colour pages.
G (Good) 2.0 out of 10 - A worn copy with slightly heavier creases and longer tears. Possible spine-roll. Still complete though.
FAIR (Fair) 1.0 out of 10 - A tired and unhappy comic. Very worn. Severe tears and creases. Perhaps a detached cover.
POOR (Poor) 0.5 out of 10 - Totally wrecked. This copy could be totally defaced. Brittle pages are possible as are missing pages.
Sometimes a "+" or a "-" is used if a grade falls between two of
the main grades listed above - this adds or subtracts 0.5 to the ten point score
Each comic grade shown, is the final grade, which will include any downgrading due to non-apparent defects (restoration, pen marks etc)

Sometimes we will list a CGC certified split grade book.
As our system only allows full grade listings, the grade of these books is rounded down for technical reasons, but a full grade is shown in the books description.
Cents, Pence and Pence Stamped issues are not generally differentiated. Please ask if you have a question regarding a particular comic.

Incognito Comics are proud members of CoBRA, the UK Comic Book Retailer Association mail-order scheme, and as such, you are fully protected, as per the terms of the CoBRA agreement.
We do not sell "adult only" material, but you must be aged at least 16 to order from this site. Many items are suitable for all ages, but please be aware that some more modern comics may contain adult themes and language. Most of these items are aimed at readers 16 years and older. Please email us if you have questions regarding the suitability of an item for readers under the age of 16.
MULTIPLE ITEMS
Our website will allow you to order any amount of a product, in any quantity. We will fill your order with as many items as are available from our extensive stock.
PRE-ORDERS
We are pleased to accept pre-orders for certain Merchandise listed on this site. We will not take any payment from your card or cash any cheque until the Merchandise is with us and ready to ship to you. Please understand that we place our stock orders with manufacturers based on the Pre-Orders received from customers. These are firm orders that we cannot lower or cancel. Because of this, we must implement a re-stocking fee, at 20% of the Merchandise retail price for any cancelled orders. Please make sure you are aware of this before pre-ordering product. All scheduled release dates, prices, sizes and colours of items are based on information given to us by manufacturers, but should be considered tentative and are subject to change. Should any key details of the product change, we will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible.
Should the retail price of a Pre Order item increase once it becomes available, we will allow any Pre-Orders to be cancelled without applying the Re-Stocking charge. If a mixed order of In-stock and Pre-Order items is placed, the In-stock items will be shipped immediately, and the Pre-Order items will follow when available. Shipping costs will be allocated to each order as necessary. While we endeavour to have adequate stock made available to us by suppliers, we are on occasion allocated certain products. We allocate to customers on a first come, first served basis, so please get your Pre-Orders to us as soon as possible. We hope that all of the above is self explanatory, but please email or phone if you have any questions.
PAYMENT
All prices on this site are in UK Pounds Sterling.
Prices include V.A.T. where applicable at the prevailing rate.
All orders must be pre-paid (in Pounds sterling).
Payment may be made by Mastercard, Visa, American Express,
Switch/Maestro, Cheque, Postal Order or Money Order.
If electing to pay by cheque, please be aware that we will not begin to pull an order until the cheque clears. Please be aware that we do not bank cheques daily, so there will be a delay in shipping. There is always a possiblity that an item might go out of stock before your cheque arrives, so please send you cheque promptly.
Sorry, but we cannot accept Visa Electron through this site.
Though we don't recommend it, cash can also be sent, but only by UK Special Delivery service please.
This is a secure site and all of your details are kept private as
per the UK 1998 Data Protection Act.
We do not share information with any other company,
individual or organisation.
Credit cards are only charged on the day an order is sent, never before.

The "Invoice To" address given by you when placing an order must be the address that the credit card being used is registered at.
If the "Card Number" does not match the "Invoice To" address AND the "Card Security Code" on our Card Processors records, then, for security reasons, we cannot ship the order.
This is as much for your security as it is ours.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that any given data is correct. We will not be held responsible for delays where the information given was incorrect.
International Money Orders must be in Pounds Sterling.
Viewings of items can be made at our shop, certain Comic Marts and
Collectibles Shows we are attending by prior arrangement.
Please allow sufficient time for us to arrange this.

If you're not happy, then we're not happy. All items on this site carry a
conditional 7 day money-back guarantee, if they are returned in
the same condition as sent.
We will also pay any return postage if an order is returned with a
grading or condition issue.
We cannot refund postage for incorrectly ordered items.
Typo's may happen rarely. We apologise for
any inconvienience that might be caused.
SHIPPING
All comics books and magazines are securely sent in either custom book mailers or in boxes with sufficient padding. We never post comics in envelopes.
All Autographed Photos and Trading cards are posted in heavy duty plastic Top Loaders for maximum protection. Trading Card sets, Busts, Statues and Action Figres are always shipped in well packed boxes.
Order turnaround is normally 1-5 days, but please allow at least 14 days before chasing an outstanding order, as sometimes we are extremely busy.
All UK Recorded parcels and parcels with a Shipping Value of more than �8.00 are sent with easily traceable bar-coded labels on their boxes. None of our packets will fit in a letterbox. If you are not at home, Royal Mail or Parcel Force should leave a note for you to contact your local depot. This may not always happen, so please check with your local Royal Mail depot before chasing up your order.

We do not have any minimum order value, but the minimum shipping amount in the UK is �2.00 for each order. If you place more than one order the same day, we can normally combine both orders for shipping to save on costs.
The most you will pay for Shipping as a Mainland UK customer is �8.00.
UK Standard Comic Postage is GBP 2.00 for the first three comics plus 25p per each additional comic thereafter to a maximum of GBP 8.00. Recorded post in the UK is available at Checkout for an additional GBP 1.00 per order.
Scottish Highlands And Islands with postcodes IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50 and ZE have the same shipping rates as standard UK mainland rates, but are subject to a maximum shipping cost of �15.00.
Republic Of Ireland And Channel Islands Comic Airmail is GBP 3.00 for the first three comics plus 30p per each additional comic thereafter, to a maximum of GBP 20.00.
Rest Of Europe Comic Airmail Postage is GBP 3.00 for the first three comics plus 40p per each additional comic thereafter, to a maximum of GBP 20.00
USA/Canada Comic Airmail Postage is GBP 4.00 for the first three comics plus 70p per each additional comic with no maximum.
Rest Of The World Comic Airmail Postage is GBP 4.00 for the first three comics plus 70p per each additional comic with no maximum.
This formula does work very well, but we will try to reduce the shipping costs wherever possible if the actual cost is less than the website calculated cost.
Graphic novels, magazines etc are double the comic rate.
Archival Supplies are very heavy and mostly will attract the GBP 8.00 maximum rate in the UK. Overseas shipping for Archival Supplies and Merchandise will be very expensive. Running an order through to checkout will show any shipping costs - before you confirm that order.
Combining comics with Archival Supplies will save you money on postage.
Most statues, busts and action figures will attract a minimum of GBP 5.00 UK shipping, with a maximum of GBP 8.00.

Abbreviations
We try to avoid any abbreviations on this website. The only common ones are SA (Silver Age), GA (Golden Age). You might also see ND (Non Distributed) and LD (Low Distribution). These relate to comics sold in the UK newsagents during the seventies and early eighties. ND comics never made it to the newsagents, and LD comics were only sold in very few newsagents (mainly in coastal towns).
